We’re delighted to share that Sensore has been awarded grant funding by Henry Royce Institute ICP6 to support our joint project with the University of Southampton & Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust: Developing a Patient-Centred Health Model for Pressure Ulcer Prediction & Prevention.
This project will fund the development of an automated pressure ulcer risk alert within the Sensore App: combining continuous pressure sensing, time-series machine learning, user-centred design and human factors work to help translate complex pressure data into understandable, actionable prompts for people at risk, carers and clinicians.
Pressure ulcers remain a major and largely preventable patient safety issue, particularly for wheelchair users and people spending prolonged periods seated. Our goal is to move beyond one-off pressure mapping assessments and towards continuous, personalised, prevention-first support in real-world settings.
